Chris Dumatrait goes 4-4 with 2 doubles in first round of
playoffs
The
Bayou Bandits handed the Red Sox a 7-5 victory committing 5 errors and allowing
5 unearned runs. The Red Sox had a
5-2 lead in the bottom of the 7th inning, when a Red Sox
batter was ejected from the game for throwing his bat.
Somehow, the batter gets to re-enter the game. The
Bandits battle back to tie the game at 5 in the top of the 8th
inning scoring 3 runs. Kyle Poirier led off the
inning with a walk, while Blaine Serio got the first out with
a strikeout. Kelly Caillier flied out to Centerfield,
and PJ Judice hit a single to push Poirier to 3rd Base. Chris
Dumatrait hit a line drive to the wall to get a double,
bringing in Poirier and Judice. Jonathan Kohn would then
reach on an error scoring Dumatrait. Derrick Gondron got
the final out of the inning with a fly ball to right
field. In the bottom of the 8th inning, the
ejected player gets 2 rbi's to help the Red Sox to a 7-5
victory.
Christ Dumatrait led the Bandits going 4-4
with 2 doubles, 2 runs and 2 rbi's. Derek Gondron, Joey
Caillier, and PJ Judice all recorded 1 hit apiece.
Jonathan Kohn pitched a complete game
receiving the loss, allowing 7 runs, 1 earned, 13 K's, 4 BB's,
on 11 hits.
