Jonthan Kohn gets his second victory of the year on the mound

Jonathan
Kohn (2-2) pitched a complete game to help the Bayou Bandits give
the #1 ranked Red Sox (5-1) their first lost of the season.
The Bandits defeated the Red Sox 9-3 behind the bats of newcomer
Mace Hebert (2-4, 2 runs, 2B), Nick Boudreaux (2-3, 2 rbi's, 1
run) and Jonathan Kohn (2-3, 2B, 2 rbi's). The Bandits fell
behind 1-0 in the top of the 4th, but later rallied in the 6th
inning to take a 6-1 lead against the Red Sox lefty Brandon Kling
(1-0). Derek Gondron led off the inning with a BB, Corey Diaz
Struck out swinging. Gondron advanced on a passed ball, and
Eddie LeBlanc started the rally with a single to bring in Gondron.
Hebert, Kyle Poirier and Boudreaux would all gets hits to keep the
rally going. Kelly Caillier got a single to bring in 2 runs,
and Kohn finished off the rbi's with a single of his own to bring in
Caillier. The Bandits would later get 3 runs in the 8th inning
against hard throwing Lance Songy (2-0). Speedy Hebert led off
the inning with a 2B, and Poirer drew a walk on 4 pitches. Boudreaux
kept things going hitting a single up the middle to load the bases
for cleanup hitter PJ Judice. Judice hit a single to bring in
Hebert and Poirier. Caillier would reach on a fielders choice,
and Judice scored on Kohn's ground out to thirdbase.
The Bandits combined for 11 hits on the day. Kohn pitched 9
innings, allowed 6 hits, 3 runs, 2 earned, 3 BB, and striking out 9
against the 3rd ranked offensive team in the league.
The Bandits face another undefeated team next week. The
Astro's are 5-0, and will face the Bandits at Christian Life Academy
@ 4:00 on Sunday, May 15, 2005.
