Hurt Bandits in 8-2 Loss |
The
Bayou Bandits made 5 errors at crucial times to drop a 8-2
decision to the Outkast. The Bandits fell behind 3-0
after 3 innings, and came within 2 runs after the 4th inning
before the Outkast slipped away. Jonathan Kohn
(4-4) received the loss pitching 6 innings, allowing 6
runs, 5 earned on 9 hits, walking 5 batters, and striking out
11. Trase Guidry pitched 2 innings in relief,
striking out 2 batters, no walks, and no hits allowed.
Sean Foulks closed the game pitching 1 inning, allowing 1 hit
and 1 run. Derek Gondron led the way offensively for the
Bandits. Despite pulling a muscle in his leg, Gondron pulled
out 3 hits with a hurt leg, going 3-4 with an rbi. Other
top hitters were Mace Hebert (3-5 with a stolen base), Kyle
Poirier (3-5), and PJ Judice (2-4).
The Bandits will face the Devil Rays (0-7) on Fathers Dat at
Episcopal High School at 12:45 pm.
