Final
Round |
The Bandits begin their final round of the season as they
return to conference play. The Bandits will take on the
(5-4) Yankees Sunday at 12:45 pm, at Episcopal High
School. The Yankees defeated the Bandits in the first
game of the season with a come from behind victory, 9-6.
The Bandits jumped up 5-0 after 4 innings, and the yankees
slowly tied the score in the 7th inning. The Yankees
scored 4 runs in the 8th inning (final inning due to time
limit) to take the win. The Bayou Bandits should have
their full squad back this week, with top hitters Mace Hebert
(7-14, 4 runs, 2-2b's), PJ Judice (10-21, 12 runs, 6 rbi's,
HR), and Derek Gondron (10-20, 5 rbi's) returning to the
lineup. Also looking to add depth to the offense is
newcomer John Coker from ULL.
With a win on Sunday, and a lil
help from another game, the Bandits can jump from 8th place to
6th place. |
