Mace Hebert, Jonathan Kohn, Korey Saucier, and PJ Judice all
have one thing in common... College Baseball. Mace
Hebert and PJ Judice are recent High School graduates who look
to continue their baseball career at the college level.
Veterans Korey Saucier and Jonathan Kohn also seek to continue
playing ball at the college level.
Hebert is a prefered walkon at LSUE after
attending a tryout in June. Hebert caught the eyes of LSUE
scouts when he burned the turf in the 60 yd dash, running it
in 6.2, 6.3 and 6.3 seconds, the fastest times in the camp. Hebert
also lighted up the bat during batting practice. Hebert
was also offered a scholarship to a college up north, but he
has decided to stay local and play ball. In his senior
year at St. Martinville high school, Hebert hit .522 for
the season with 7 homeruns. Hebert received 2nd team
All-State, 1st team All-District, and 1st team All-Parish.
Judice is currently being looked at and he is
deciding where he wants to take his college career, more
details coming soon.
The 6'-7" Kohn is leaving the hot weather at
Southern University to venture out to play for the Chicago
State Cougars. Kohn is expected to leave in the middle
of August to head for Chicago. After having a couple
tryouts with the team, the Cougars decided to pick up Kohn for
the upcoming season.
Southpaw Saucier is looking to start his college
career in Canada. After making a few trips to Canada and
making several appearances on the mound, Saucier has been
looked at by a local college where he made his trip..
