05/07/06 Bandits and Cubs End in a Tie
  The Bandits and the Cubs finished today's game with a 6-6 tie in 10 innings before the time limit ended.  The Bandits jumped on the Cubs 3-0 after 2 innings.  The runs began with PJ Judice leading off the inning with a double, followed by a steal.  Kyle Poirier hit a fly ball to centerfield for the first out of the inning.  Ryan Judice hi his first triple of the day (2nd season).  Derek Gondron struck out in the next at bat, followed by a single by Eddie LeBlanc scoring Judice.  Gondron pinch ran for LeBlanc, stealing second and third base.  Corey Diaz ended the scoring with a screaching single down the third base line.  The Cubs answered back right away tying the game at the top of the 3rd inning. 
The Bandits answered back with 2 runs in the bottom of the inning to take the lead 5-3.  Joey Caillier led off the inning with a single to left field, followed by Kelly Caillier's single to left, Matt Bellard reached first on base on balls, advancing the Caillier's.  Nick Boudreaux hit a ground ball to third base, and the Cubs third baseman made the throw to home, and Caillier scored as the catcher did not have his foot on home plate. Kyle Poirier would score Bellard on a fielders choice to end the scoring in the third inning. 
After 5 innings, the Bandits led 6-4.  In the top of the 9th inning, the Cubs scored 2 runs off of starting pitcher PJ Judice to tie the game at 6.  The Bandits tried to finish the game at the bottom of the 9th with Ryan Judice's stand up triple with one out.  Gondron struck out for the 2nd out, followed by a ground out to third base by LeBlanc.  With a few minutes before the time limit, the game went into extra innings.  Trase Guidry came in on the mound, shutting down 3 batters with 3 fly balls.  Cubs starting pitcher Rob Rome pitched a complete game, and shut down 3 Bandits batters to end the game.

The Bandits are off next weekend, May 14th, to celebrate Mothers Day.  They will be back in action on May 21st, time and date TBA.
